Hospitality projects · Phased delivery

From receiving.To room-ready spaces.

Hotel and resort furniture projects depend on receiving, storage, delivery, and placement working to the same plan. DP Moving & Storage supports owners, operators, purchasing teams, designers, and renovation managers with practical logistics for guestroom, lobby, dining, and other property furnishings. We build the scope around the inventory, property access, and installation sequence, whether the assignment involves selected rooms or a broader phased refresh. Based in Florida, we review projects throughout the Southeast and suitable longer routes, accepting work that fits our equipment, team, and schedule.

A line of box trucks ready for transport

Selective by design

We accept projects where the cargo, route, people and operating plan fit the standard of work we intend to deliver.

Details before dispatch

Access, handling, equipment, release instructions and receiving responsibilities are worked through before the job.

Direct accountability

An agreed scope, a DP contact and an in-house crew keep responsibility clear from planning to handoff.

The DP approach

The right project. The right plan. No guesswork.

We are selective about the work we accept because the quality of the result begins with the conditions behind it. Cargo, access, equipment, crew, schedule and the client’s expectations must fit a plan we can stand behind. We ask detailed questions, resolve uncertainty and define responsibility before the job begins.

That approach serves clients who value preparation as much as execution. If the brief changes, we review the effect before adding work. A clear acceptance process protects the project, the property, the people handling it and the standard of service you expect.

Experience

Hospitality experience with perspective.

Our team’s experience includes work at Hilton, Marriott and Four Seasons properties, as well as St Andrew’s Hotel in South Africa. That experience informs the attention we bring to access, presentation and coordination with the people responsible for the property.

Hotel & Resort Furniture Logistics

What we can build into your project.

Build the service around the complete project, from collection and receiving through the final placement or release. Each stage has a defined scope, handling plan and point of responsibility.

Supplier receiving and storage

Consolidate agreed furniture shipments before the property is ready to receive them. We can receive goods, document visible condition, and store them for a coordinated release. Supplier references, quantities, room assignments, and expected arrival dates help organize the work. Define inspection expectations in advance, especially when cartons must remain sealed or a purchasing team needs to decide how to address a discrepancy.

Phased transportation and delivery

Organize deliveries around the areas actually ready for furniture. Box-truck transportation can be scheduled by building, floor, room group, or another agreed phase. Each release should have a confirmed item list, destination, site contact, and unloading window. This gives purchasing, operations, and the on-site project team a clearer picture of what is arriving and what must be ready to receive it.

White-glove placement and setup

Room-by-room placement, unpacking, packaging removal, and suitable furniture assembly can be included in the written scope. We review floor plans, item labels, elevator access, and the intended placement before work begins. Assembly is assessed by product and task. Wall mounting, electrical connections, plumbing, and other trade work require separate arrangements unless expressly reviewed and included by the appropriate provider.

Removal and changeover support

Furniture refreshes often require outgoing pieces to move before replacements can enter. We can scope removal, internal relocation, storage, or return transportation alongside incoming deliveries. Identify the destination for each outgoing category and who approves it. Keeping removal and placement instructions clear helps the crew sequence work through shared corridors, service areas, and loading points without guessing what should stay or leave.

A strong brief makes a stronger plan.

Operational planning

Turn the project schedule into a delivery plan

Start with the property layout, furniture schedule, supplier information, and the sequence in which spaces will become available. We review loading areas, truck access, elevator dimensions and reservations, corridor routes, working hours, and the distance from unloading to placement. For occupied properties, guest circulation and operational restrictions belong in the plan from the beginning.

A DP contact and crew lead help keep the agreed handling instructions consistent. We accept projects after reviewing the load, locations, phasing, and requested services. Room readiness, late supplier shipments, or changes to the installation sequence can affect labor and delivery arrangements. Revised work and additional handling are discussed for approval before the scope is expanded.

Before the truck arrives

Clear details.
A coordinated handoff.

Every accepted project moves through a clear sequence: assess the work, confirm responsibility, prepare the cargo and site, execute the agreed handling and close the handoff. The details below make that process specific to your shipment.

Protection & documentation

Protect the property and make exceptions visible

We plan protection for floors, doorways, and furnishings along the agreed handling route. Clear labels and placement instructions help direct items to the right spaces. Visible condition documentation at agreed stages provides a practical record for the project team, while shortages, packaging concerns, and other exceptions can be brought to the designated decision-maker's attention.

The receiving scope should distinguish a visual condition check from unpacking, counting internal components, testing products, or verifying manufacturer specifications. Those tasks require their own instructions. At delivery, an agreed walkthrough helps review completed placement and identify remaining work. The project team retains responsibility for construction readiness, product acceptance decisions, and any trade or specialist work outside our scope.

Information & responsibility

Clear information. Accountable people.

Your project begins with a structured online inquiry covering the route, timing, cargo and handling requirements. Your DP contact works through the details with you, and the agreed estimate records the service and pricing. For the physical work, a crew lead provides an on-site point of contact.

We agree the communication and documentation needed for the project, including receiving instructions, schedule coordination and the handoff record. Send changes through your DP contact so the plan can be reviewed before work changes. Please keep passwords, access credentials and sensitive security instructions out of the public inquiry form; arrange any necessary site-access information directly with the team.

A place to hold the project together

Connect the stages. Keep responsibility clear.

Receiving, private storage and final delivery can be coordinated as part of a single project plan. We agree the receiving location, inspection scope, holding period and release instructions before goods arrive, then align onward delivery with site readiness.

Coverage & delivery programs

Southeast focus. Routes built around the project.

DP is Florida based, serving projects across Florida and assessing dedicated routes throughout the Southeast and the lower 48 states. We plan around the complete journey: supplier, terminal, venue, property, receiving point and final placement, rather than treating a home-base address as the boundary of the service.

Single deliveries, multi-stop routes and recurring programs can be reviewed. Exact origins, destinations, operating windows and site requirements determine the route and resource plan. Receiving and storage are coordinated at the location agreed in your estimate; regional transport does not imply a warehouse in every market.

Call our team
Can you support a property that remains open?

Yes, subject to the property's access and operating requirements. We review work windows, guest routes, service elevators, and staging areas with the site contact before confirming a practical delivery sequence.

Can furniture arrive from multiple manufacturers?

Yes. Receiving and storage can be organized around several suppliers. A consolidated list with purchase references, quantities, expected arrivals, and destination areas helps connect incoming shipments with the eventual delivery phases.

Do you handle complete hotel renovations?

We assess the furniture-logistics portion of a renovation against its scale, schedule, access, and handling needs. Construction management, trade installation, and specialist systems remain separate responsibilities unless specifically addressed in the project plan.

Is furniture assembly included?

Assembly is scoped by item, quantity, instructions, and required tools. Share product information before quoting. Placement or unpacking alone does not automatically include complex assembly, anchoring, mounting, or trade connections.

Can you deliver by floor or room group?

Yes, phased releases can follow an agreed floor, building, or room schedule. Each phase needs a confirmed inventory, clear labels, ready spaces, and access arrangements that support the planned work.

What locations do you serve?

Our Florida-based team reviews hotel and resort logistics across the Southeast and suitable longer routes. We confirm service based on the actual project locations, volume, schedule, and requested work.

How do you decide whether a project is the right fit?

We review the cargo, route, access, handling, timing and requested outcome before accepting the work. We want the resources, responsibilities and expectations aligned in a plan we can execute properly. If something essential is unresolved, we address it with you before a commitment is made.

How do you manage project information and changes?

Your structured inquiry captures the starting requirements. Your DP contact coordinates the agreed scope, timing and handoff information, with a crew lead for the physical work. Tell us what records or updates your project needs during planning. Changes to inventory, access or requested services are reviewed for their effect on the work, timing and price before additional work begins.
